The Elmer House, 1910

After the great fire of January 10, 1910, when Jefferson Hall, the old main building burned to the ground, Superintendent Sebastian C. Jones rented the Elmer House, an unoccupied boarding house in lower Cornwall-on-Hudson, and the nearby Grand View House as temporary quarters for the rest of the school year.
